Panel 1

Juicy: Okay, Buffy. Truth or dare?
Buffy: Truth.
Juicy: Why do you and Trudy both exist?
Juicy (cont'd): And don’t say ‘hot multiversal accident’—we already know that.

Panel 2

Buffy: You want the whole story?
Buffy (cont'd): It starts with a nuke and gets worse.
Buffy (cont'd): I had a nice place.
Buffy (cont'd): High ceilings, exposed brick, zombie upstairs.”

Panel 3

Buffy (V.O.): Then one morning I woke up and everyone was gone.
Buffy (V.O.): No note. No bodies. Just me, a fridge full of leftovers—
Buffy (V.O.): —and none of them were people. So, win?

Buffy (V.O.): They didn’t leave. They didn’t die. They just… vanished.
Buffy (V.O.): Which, for the record, is way ruder than ghosting.

Starts With a Nuke

I wanted a way to eventually tell the whole story and show some stuff that has been alluded to. So a flashback is the best way to get to that end... So that's what we're doing.
