Panel 1
Buffy: So there I am-- nuked city, fire everywhere. Spot this blue-purple crack in the air, looks like it’s dared me to walk through.
Grab the cursed book next to me… step in--

Panel 2
Buffy: --I’m falling, land in some tame little taco joint, and think “nope.”
Five minutes with the necronomicon later-- boom: stage, neon, and tacos worth dancing for.
That’s how I got here.

Panel 3
Buffy:
What’s wrong? You asked.
Guy: Come on, it’s a common pickup line bit. “Where did you just fall from?” It was leading to “because you’re an angel.” Kinda a mood-killer when the answer’s “nuclear wasteland.”

Bonus panel for the NSFW tiers on my Patreon. Bonus panels are NSFW, but not needed to get the joke/etc. in the more SFW version.

While in the long run it's not important, Buffy is describing the events after the end of the legacy timeline of Zombie Roomie.

Before Zombie Roomie was rebooted, there was a downer ending that led to the witch, Glenda, using the power of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis to augment her own magicks to put the cast into a timeline where things were better for them.

For some reason, Buffy wasn't transferred in the same fashion as the rest of the cast. I'll eventually explain it-- strip #3 will have some text about it down in this section.

Last night I made tacos to celebrate the comic's launch... okay, I just made tacos... comic had little to nothing to do with it.
