Buffy and Trudy, her variant native to this timeline, both exist. Buffy was a unique variant in that she became so different from the other versions of herself after becoming a stripper in the legacy timeline that she no longer went by her real name... choosing to go by her stage name full time. Her implants, dyed hair, etc. were just outward manifestations of who she became.

Trudy, never was never going to become Buffy in the current timeline... so when the witch Glenda merged beings from her timeline into a better timeline where her friends were still alive, Buffy was left behind-- along with a few others that might show up somewhere later.
